Letter from the CEO: A Farewell to Beverly Ficon: A Leader, Mentor, and Friend

As a team, we’ve been reflecting on what makes Spectrum Works the success it has been so far. It’s clear that our greatest strength lies in the people who have committed themselves to our vision, and Beverly Ficon is a shining example of that. For the past eight years, Beverly has been a cornerstone of our family at Spectrum Works and has embodied everything that makes this organization thrive—dedication, compassion, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every individual we work with.

At Spectrum Works, we know that the ability of any organization to achieve its goals comes down to the people who stand behind those goals. It’s not just about strategies or plans—it’s about the hearts and minds that drive those initiatives forward. Beverly has been one of the key individuals whose tireless efforts have propelled us toward fulfilling our mission. Her passion for empowering neurodiverse individuals, her leadership, and her kindness have touched the lives of not only our students but every single person who has had the privilege to work with her and are woven into the very fabric of Spectrum Works.

Beverly has always been more than just a team member; she’s been a mentor, a guide, and, for many—a second mother. Together, we’ve navigated challenges, celebrated milestones, and built something truly special. She always understood that the true power of an organization comes from those who believe in its vision and are willing to pour their hearts into bringing that vision to life.

I know I speak for everyone when I say: Beverly, you are missed beyond words. You’ve touched the lives of so many, and the love, respect, and admiration we all have for you is immeasurable. We are forever grateful for your guidance, your friendship, and the deep impact you’ve had on each of us. Thank you for everything. We love you, and we wish you the happiest and most fulfilling retirement. Your spirit, your dedication, and your heart will forever remain a part of Spectrum Works.
