MEET HANNAH

A former Spectrum Works student Hannah, also known as “Han,” now employed by Burger King, appreciates the skills she gained from Spectrum Works. She is very happy to be working in different departments. Some of the areas where Hannah enjoys working the most are the dining room, grill, and maintenance.  Her team recently received an award at work for raising over $300 in one week! Go Hannah!

In addition to her love for work, Hannah has grown as an individual. Since leaving Spectrum Works Hannah feels as though she has increased her self-confidence and feels very mature for her age.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, taking care of her cat, listening to music and shopping!

Hannah’s advice to other students is to “always do the right thing and ask your boss if they need help. It will all pay off in the end.”

Our organization’s philosophy is to use a mixture of identity-first (for example ‘autistic person’) and person-first (for example ‘person with autism’) language, to reflect the diversity of preferences in the autism community.
