MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Spectrum Works is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and detail-oriented Marketing & Operations Manager to develop and execute Corporate Communications programs that shape awareness and perception of Spectrum Works as well as manage various aspects of the operations of this growing organization. The Manager will develop communications materials to build awareness and affinity for Spectrum Works programs, and position Spectrum Works as the thought leader in this space. Reporting to the CEO, the role provides a good mix of hands-on work dealing with marketing, business development, event management, research, and general business support.
The role requires exceptional communication and presentation skills (both written and oral), superior time management, and a passion for Spectrum Works mission. While serving as an enthusiastic ambassador for Spectrum Works, the ideal candidate will have marketing experience, be able to build relationships with external stakeholders, complete complex projects quickly, demonstrate the ability to work successfully in a team environment, and show attention to detail.
Principal Responsibilities

Create and implement communications strategies

Work closely with CEO on projects, planning and processes

Draft high-level written materials, including press releases, newsletters, website content, pitches, and other press and corporate materials

Develop and foster strong relationships with partner companies

Collaborate with external PR consultant

Create and manage corporate events and fundraising events

Sustain an in-depth understanding of the media and social media landscape, industry trends, and current events

Manage screen printing apparel business and customer relationships

Assist with general office administration
Key Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal skills

Written communication— demonstrated short and long form writing skills, strong copyediting and proofreading skills

Oral communication—speaks clearly and persuasively; possesses ability to engage others; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions

Capacity to deliver presentations to external stakeholders and partner companies

Ability to think innovatively and creatively, and change course if necessary, to achieve desired results

Technical skills—strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint ability. Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

Bachelor’s degree required
